Condolence: I have such fond memories of Virginia from my younger days in Palatka, and seeing her on our visits to the area over the past few years. My heart is saddened to see this news, and I will keep her in my prayers.

Condolence From: Leslie Emerson
Condolence: I will always remember the fun everyone had on the Washington D.C. trips with Ginger Tomlinson. The students and parents that had the opportunity to travel by train with this incredible woman will miss her presence here, she was loved by all that she touched. Till we meet again!

Condolence From: Vicky Hull Bennett
Condolence: In 1963 Ms. Tomlinson was my 5th grade teacher at Browning-Pearce in East Palatka. We all loved her! She was fun and so full of life. She bought a new baby blue convertible with a white top and took us all for rides around the school with the top down. One of the best teachers in Putnam County history.

Condolence From: Sandy Shiver Owen
Condolence: While looking for information on a classmate's funeral, I came across Ms. Tomlinson's obituary. I am saddened to hear of her passing. She was my second grade teacher at Browning Pearce Elementary School. She was probably one of my favorite teachers. She lived next to the school and one of my favorite memories was being chosen to go over to her house to get something for our class. Rest in peace, Ms. Tomlinson. You were a great teacher and those who had you for a teacher are truly blessed by your guidance.

Condolence From: The Alvers Family – Nancy, Phil, Carol and Phil, Jr.
Condolence: We first met Ginger Tomlinson when our daughter “Libby” became a fifth grader at Browning Pearce Elementary School. Our son, Philip, also became one of her students and after the little two-teacher school in San Mateo closed, I became a colleague of hers at BPS. We worked together for many years with principal, Homer Biddle. Later Ginger transferred to Jenkins Middle School where my husband, Phil, was principal. We have always admired Ginger and our relationships with her. She will be missed by her many friends, former students, and colleagues.
