Dot had worked as a real estate agent, a Mary Kay consultant and as a sales representative for Newton Manufacturing. She had been a member of the Red Hat Society as well as Toastmasters and was very involved in the Grandparenting Reading Program at Moseley Elementary. She was currently a member of Russell Baptist Church in Clay County. Dot was an accomplished soprano singer and pianist and had performed a solo concert in 1974 at St. Johns River Junior College. She was also a strong support of Friends of Israel and her favorite reads were the Bible and Israel My Glory. She considered herself a “Frustrated English Teacher” as she was always correcting improper grammar spoken by her children and others.

She is survived by her sons, Roderick Willard Knight (Laurie) and John Schuyler Knight (Debbie) both of Green Cove Springs, daughters, April Knight Tashjian (Jack) of Green Cove Springs, and Mary Lauren Weaver (Troy) of Interlachen, sister, Jackie Leon Serpas of Picayune, MS, 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
