Shirley Yoxtheimer, 77, of Bostwick passed away on Sunday, January 28,2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Summersville,West Virginia, Shirley had lived here for the past 45 years coming from Miami. She enjoyed her animals, playing bingo and dominos, quilting, going sailing and spending time with her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Patrick Harris, Dr. Augusto E. Villegas and his staff and Haven Hospice staff for their compassionate care for Shirley.
She is survived by her two sons, Paul Yoxtheimer and wife Diana ; Robert Yoxtheimer and wife Michelle; 2 daughters, Cindy Daniels and husband Kevin and Marie Beaver; 1 sister, Donna Lee; grandchildren, Paul L. Yoxtheimer, Brittany Kelley, Lindsay Daniels, Jordan Daniels, Breanna Moye and husband Kyle, Zachary Yoxtheimer, Phillip Beaver, Maggie Yoxtheimer, Ashlynn Daniels and Kinsley Yoxtheimer; 9 great-grandchildren; her beloved pets, Chance, Prissy and Sweet Pea, along with numerous nieces,nephews and other family members, and her special group of friends she did things with.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
Family and friends are invited to attend an informal celebration of Shirley's life on Saturday, February 3,2018 from 12-2 P.M. at Robert and Michelle's Home, 150 Palmetto Bluff Road in Bostwick.
