Obituary for Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Rose
Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Rose, 73, of Satsuma, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. Born in Chattanooga,Tennessee, he was raised and educated in Winchester,Tennessee part of the year and at other times in East Palatka and Hastings. For many years, Kenny owned and operated Rose Truck Brokers in East Palatka and also had offices in Alabama and Wisconsin. He served as past president of the National Agriculture Transportation League. Kenny was also a Mason and Shriner.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Wilson Rose, his parents, Kenneth and Emily Rose and his father-in-law, Crawford T. Wilson.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jo W. Rose of Satsuma, 2 sons, Kevin Rose (Angie) and Randy Rose (Miki) of St. Augustine, a sister, Phyllis Cunningham (Walt) of Franklin, TN, mother-in-law, Frances Wilson of Crescent City, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
