Leah Diane Rosenburg, 66, of East Palatka, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, Leah moved to Putnam County in 1977 from Jacksonville. She had worked as a supervisor in housekeeping at Palatka Health Care Center and had also worked at Putnam Community Medical Center. She was a member of Crossroad Community Church in East Palatka. In her leisure time, Leah enjoyed traveling and working in her garden and quality time spent with her family, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal Rosenburg, a daughter, Amy Blackwell, her parents, Harvey and Patricia Goddard and 2 brothers, Roger and Duanne Goddard and grandson, Austyn Futch.
Leah is survived by a son, Johnny Sumara of Jacksonville, a daughter, Wendy Revels (Mike) of East Palatka, a sister, Linda Gray (Darrin Dinkins) of Jacksonville and 7 grandchildren, Taylor Blackwell, Allyson Futch, Nathan Sumara, Isabell Blackwell, Mackenzie Revels, Kalani Sumara and Joshua Sumara.
Services celebrating Leah’s life will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services at 4:00 P.M.
