James "Jimmy" Overstreet
James Dwayne “Jimmy” Overstreet, 41, of Satsuma, passed from this life on Monday, July 30, 2018 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in El Paso, Texas, Jimmy lived mostly in Putnam County since 1983. He attended Crescent City High School and Palatka High School as well as Burns High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina while residing there for a few years. Jimmy was multi-talented and had been self-employed working as a handyman for several years. He was a member of the Great Banquet Community at the Mandarin Presbyterian Church. In his leisure time, Jimmy enjoyed working in the yard and tinkering with repairing vehicles.
He was preceded in death by a son, Malachi Dalton Overstreet.
Jimmy is survived by his fiancé, Jennifer Jacobs of Satsuma, his parents, James and Vickie Overstreet of Palatka, his children, Jacob Daniels Henderson of Spartanburg, SC, Nathan Daniel Parks, Jadon Dwayne Overstreet, Ashton Dallas Overstreet and Aria Rose Overstreet, all of Palatka and Faith Angel Overstreet of Satsuma, 2 sisters, Michelle Casto (David) of St. Augustine and Melissa Overstreet of North Augusta, SC, his maternal grandmother, Lois Ford of El Paso, TX, aunts and uncles, Charles and Linda Overstreet and Roy and Christine Smith, all of Statesboro, GA, nieces, Hannah Noonan, Breanna Casto, Brittany Casto and Brooke Casto as well as other extended family.
Services celebrating Jimmy’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Rev. Adam George and Bro. Marc Mickle officiating. Burial will follow at Bostwick Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
