Obituary for Philip Joseph Cangelosi

Philip Joseph  Cangelosi
Philip Joseph Cangelosi, 77, of Salt Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. A was a native of Chicago, Illnois and had lived in the area since 1979. Philip was a U.S Marine Veteran, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Interlachen. He was the past president of The Lions Club of Silver Springs Shores in Marion County and enjoyed guns and collecting trains.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Marie Cangelosi and is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen Cangelosi of Salt Springs.
Funeral services for Mr. Cangelosi will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Interlachen Ward. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till the time of the service. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with military honors bestowed.
