Oh, if only someone would kick cancer's butt! That's what the Celtic Prince would say, for sure! Marty, the stories of you in the days we loved - well, they're just rolling off our tongues. Your parents, Arthur Valentine and Margaret (McSherry) simply adored their first-born boy. They gave you their all. They were proud of your Catholic education at St. Francis College. As Irish custom, you meet everyone at wakes and weddings. You came up to younger cousin Ed as his nuptials and said, "I remember you were in mine..." Later when house hunting in Long Beach, NY we drove by the house where you began your family life as a father to Brian and Shannon. Memories of a red Mustang convertible in Woodside, rock concerts at Woodstock, family parties summers away, and Mets games.....for these good times, we thank you. Rest in peace, cousin. Amen. Love, Eddie, Patti, Eddie, Peter and Claire McQuade

I have known Cheryl for 40 years, but I never got a chance to meet Marty. I know that if he was married to Cheryl, he had to be one dynamite dude. My deepest condolences to my best friend, Ole Bitty. He will always be with you and all of the family in spirit and in your hearts. Till you meet again, may he rest in peace.
