Juanita Ward Hagan, 90, of Satsuma, passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home. Born in Okeechobee to Harry Bennett Ward and Leatha Hammond Ward, she resided in Putnam County for the past 6 years moving there from Polk City, Florida. Juanita had worked a number of various jobs throughout her life including as a seamstress with Ross of Florida, at Crowder Bros (Ace Hardware) in Lakeland and as a cashier at Bob Read’s Supermarket. While residing in Polk County, she had been a member of Bradley Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed sewing, reading and dancing as her past-times.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Michael Hagan, a son, Henry Maxwell Draughn, 2 grandchildren, April Rodgers and Mitchell Rodgers, a great-grandson, Jacob Emiliantsev , 2 brothers, Harry Raymond Ward and Cecil Edward Ward and 2 sisters, Bernice Shaw and Dorothy Knowles.
Juanita is survived by 3 daughters, Karon Elaine Turner and Anita Dianne Rodgers, both of Satsuma and Kathy Anne Short (Nick) of Lakeland, 2 sisters, Doris Summerall (Henry) of Sun City and Mary Colson (Charles) of Lakeland, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services celebrating Juanita‘s life will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with her nephew, Rick Ward officiating.
