Lieutenant Lambert Nelson "Si" Campbell, Florida Highway Patrol (Retired), age 84 of Palatka, Florida was called to heaven by his Lord on February 14, 2019. A native Floridian, he was born in Kissimmee, Florida on September 19, 1934. He graduated from Clay County High School in 1953 where he was a co-captain of the Clay High Blue Devils football team and was All Conference Defensive Guard. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1955. He served in Korea with the USMC VMJ-1, a photographic reconnaissance squadron. He joined the Florida Highway Patrol in 1959 and graduated with the #19 Basic Recruit Class at the FHP Academy in Tallahassee, Florida in 1960. He retired from the Florida Highway Patrol as a Lieutenant on February 28, 1997 after 38 years of dedicated service.

He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church in Palatka. He was a kind and beloved man who served his God, family, and country. He was an inspiration to all as well as a beloved husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, Boy Scouts, gardening, church, tinkering in his workshop, and spending time with his family and pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lambert and Carroll Campbell and his brother, Thomas "Bud" Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Frances Jane Campbell, his son, Rame Lambert Campbell (Jennifer) of Anderson, South Carolina, granddaughter, Lily Ann Campbell, his daughter, Susan Margo Campbell Farley (Eddie) of Cape Coral, Florida, and his sister, Susan Campbell Threadgill.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Peniel Baptist Church with Pastor Benny Reynolds and Bro. Bill Wing officiating. Burial will follow at Peniel Cemetery with honors by the Florida Highway Patrol. The family will receive family and friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m.
