Katurah E. McClarney, 97, of Palatka, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Kiva of Palatka following an extended illness. Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Harvey Eaton and Clera Pearson Eaton, she resided in Putnam County since 1957 coming from Murfreesboro. Katurah was a homemaker and a member of Christ Independent Methodist Church in Palatka. In addition to her love of quilting, Katurah enjoyed sewing and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by 5 siblings.
Katurah is survived by 2 sons, John C. McClarney (Joan) of Valrico, FL and James McClarney (Linda) of East Palatka, a sister, Sue Cottar of Murfreesboro, TN, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services celebrating Katurah’s life will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Michael Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services at 10:30 A.M.
