John Howard Fullerton, 78, of Melrose, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at his home following a brief illness. He was a native of Green Cove Springs. John was a hard-working, intelligent, and playful man whose presence filled any room he entered. He began his career as an enlisted mechanic and retired 38 years later as a full Colonel in Air Force Special Operations. He was passionate about politics, his church, his country, and the Gators. He loved God, his wife and family, and leaves a void in many hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Priscilla Fullerton, son, Rev. Dr. John H. Fullerton, Jr., daughters, Terri Fullerton Abrams, and Karen R. Fullerton, sibling, Rick Fullerton, Clay Fullerton and Lynn Perry, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Penny Farms Cemetery with Father Lawrence Peck officiating. No public visitation will be held.
