Sherry and I were friends from the time I was about 2 in 1949 until I lost contact with her sometime around the 9th grade. She and her parents lived in the upstairs apartment next door to Leroy and Nadine Wood. Her parents were friends of my mother and father. My earliest memory is of us turning summersaults over and over down the slopping grassy back yard when we were maybe 3 or 5 years old. I remember Sherry being in my gym class at our Junior High School in the Mellon School Building downtown beside the Putnam County Courthouse. I remember her jumping on the trampoline which was in the auditorium. I've never forgotten her and have thought fondly of her over the years. I used to go see her mother when I was an adult and kept up with Sherry that way. She was special to me as one of the dear childhood friends I had as a baby and for years later. I had no idea she was living in Putnam County. I will always remember her and the good times we had playing together as babies and children. God bless the family.

Amazing how I can remember her so well as when I was so young and so was she. Her voice was so distinctive and my own memory of the sound of her laughter will always be so endearing to my heart🌺 She was truly loved indeed. Love, Tammie Jean
