Juliette Ann Laurie Jones, 46, of Pomona Park, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in North Miami, Juliette moved to Putnam County in 1984 coming from Miramar. A 1991 graduate of Crescent City Senior High, she received her Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Central Florida and her Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Orlando. Since 2011 Juliette has been the publisher of the Putnam County Courier Journal in Crescent City. She was a Rotarian while in Orlando and had also been a member of the Rotary Club of Crescent City. Among her interests were her love for plants and gardening, music and collecting penguins.

Juliette is survived by her husband of 3 years, Mike Jones of Pomona Park, her mother and step-father, Laura Turner (Terry) of San Mateo, her father and step-mother, William T. “Bill” Laurie (Helen) of Lake Como, her biological father, Bill Mamos of Exuma, Bahamas, her step-children, Stephen Michael Jones, III of Gainesville, Rachel May Jones of Interlachen, Daniel Matthew Jones of Hollister, Hannah Marie Jones of Pomona Park, Joseph Matthew Jones of Hawthorne and Jonathan Marcus Jones of Interlachen, 2 brothers, William J. Laurie of Crescent City and Robert M. Laurie (Jodi Rauer) of Groveland, step-brothers, William F. “Bill” Laurie of Miami, Patrick Laurie (Nancy) of Freeport, TX and Cameron Laurie of Orlando, 2 step-sisters, Julie Kirkland of St. Augustine and Gina Sims (Les) of East Palatka, her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Mickey and Sandi Jones of Pomona Park as well as other extended family.
Memorial services celebrating Juliette’s life will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Donna Cooney officiating.
