Suzanne Mullins Jacob, 77, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Vintage Care Senior Living. She was born in Knoxville, TN; raised in Atlanta, GA; and had lived in Putnam County since 1967. She was a graduate of Stetson University in Deland where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and also met her husband, Alan. After living on a boat in Daytona Beach, the couple became the owners and operators of Boathouse Marina in Palatka for the next 4 decades. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Palatka where she played the piano and organ and taught Sunday school for many years. Suzanne had a talent for the arts and entertainment including having several records produced while still in her teens. She had also been inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution. Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteering for the church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. Mullins and Elizabeth Stokes Mullins.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alan Jacob of Palatka; son, Bryan Jacob (Beth) of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Sara Frances Roberts of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Isabelle, Nicholas and Christopher Jacob.
Memorial services celebrating the life of Suzanne will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Palatka with Pastor Brad Hall officiating.
