Herschel Brantley O’Neil Andreas, 26, of Carraway, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 6, 2019 at home. Born in Gainesville, he lived all his life in Carraway. Herschel loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His passion in life was horses and he excelled in breaking and training horses.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Greg Rose who died 2 days before him.
Herschel is survived by his mother, Teresa Rose, his father, Edward Andreas, a sister, Diane Andreas (Kyle) and a brother, Tyler Thornton, all of Carraway, 2 nephews, Kyle Brown and Mason Andreas, his maternal grandmother, Patricia Thornton of Carraway, an aunt, Joyce Campbell (David) of Interlachen, uncles, William “Mac” Thornton (Dawn) of Palatka and Billy Gilley of Spokane, WA, a great-uncle, Roger Maynard, numerous Cousins and his beloved horse “Sweetie”.
Memorial services celebrating Herschel’s life will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Glen Martin officiating.
