James Alma Anders, 57, of Hollister, passed from this life on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Dallas, Texas and had spent most of his life in Putnam County. Alma was a 1981 graduate of Palatka High School where he played on the football team. He had worked with PPM at Seminole and for the past five years he had worked as Certified Master Electrician for Seminole Electric. Alma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid Gator fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Alma will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and nephew.

He is preceded in death by his father, Owen James Anders, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Anders of Hollister, mother, Marvella Anders of Interlachen, children, Blake Huffman (Lauren) of Ocala, Chelsea Anders of New Braunfels, TX, Ashlyn Barney (Spence) of Weatherford, TX and Amanda Huffman of Interlachen, sisters, Marsha Roach of Andalusia, Roxann Wilkins of Hollister, Neva Griner of Crescent Beach, Sandra Key (Randy) of Hollister, Tamyra Wilkins of Interlachen, uncle, Billy Anders of Keystone Heights and 8 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1414 Husson Ave. in Palatka, with Bishop George DeLoach conducting. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Interlachen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka.
