Percy Burton Brooks, 78, of Palatka, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his home following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka. Percy worked as a meat cutter and store manager with Pantry Pride for many years. He had also served in the Army National Guard for 8 years as well as with the Florida Highway Patrol auxiliary. In his leisure time, Percy enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Brooks, 3 daughters, Laurie Demetropoulos, Luwanna Hall and Leilani Key (Kevin), 5 grandchildren, Andrea Wells, Heather Brooks, Wesley Demetropoulos, Blake Hall and Jessica Key, 3 great-grandchildren, Caelyn Wells, Anslee Wells and Bryson Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Oak Hill West Cemetery with Marty Wilkinson officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
